Veteran’s Memorial Park, Monterey

Veterans Memorial Park has 40 total campsites. 30 campsites are suitable for trailers. Every site is equipped with a table and a firepit. Veterans Memorial Park also has showers and restrooms. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Quiet Veterans Memorial Park, one mile uphill from Old Monterey and the Fisherman’s Wharf area, is a popular camping destination for many who visit Monterey. It is adjacent to the 81-acre Huckleberry Hill Nature Preserve, one of Monterey’s hidden hiking treasures and a great family hiking destination. Both are abutted by the Presidio of Monterey.

Laguna Seca Recreation Area

At the Laguna Seca Recreation Area, visitors can camp on the surrounding hillsides for a serene view of the Salinas Valley. Both RV and tent camping are available in a clean, friendly environment. The park is just a short drive from the Monterey Peninsula.

Andrew Molera State Park
20 Miles South of Carmel on Highway 1 – Big Sur, CA 93920 – 28 Miles from Festival Site
In the spectacular Big Sur area, this park is still relatively undeveloped and offers visitors great hiking and beachcombing.
Miles of trails wind through meadows, beaches and hilltops. A primitive walk-in trail camp, popular with hikers and bikers, is located approximately one third mile from the parking area. There are 24 identified sites. Camping is allowed only at these sites with a maximum of four people per site. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
